After more than a year, the main cybersecurity office in the Department of Homeland Security finally has a Senate-confirmed leader. Now Chris Krebs faces a big challenge when he first walks in the door as the official head the National Protection and Programs Directorate: renaming the agency.

“I need a name on the door that tells what the organization does,” said Krebs, who has run the NPPD in an acting capacity since last summer and was confirmed this week. “If you don’t have a brand, you’re not in the game.”
