North Korea’s cyberwarfare game is evolving fast. Here’s how

The WannaCry malware crippled at least 300,000 computers in more than 150 countries as it rapidly spread around the world in May. Since then, detailed technical analysis has reached an overwhelming conclusion: North Korea was to blame.

The country is strongly linked to launching the ransomware which destabilised large parts of the UK’s NHS, the Russian Ministry of Interior and delivery firm FedEx among others. On December 19, senior politicians in the UK and US jointly blamed North Korea for the attack.
